Personal Agents

Staci has lived in Douglas County since 2006. She has spent the past twenty+ years serving in various social services positions.

Staci has two amazing adult daughters and two incredible granddaughters. She has four fur grandsons and two fur babies of her own.

In her free time, you will find her surrounded by family & friends. She enjoys hiking to hidden waterfalls and exploring the beautiful outdoors, reading suspense novels and baking treats for loved ones. She also loves to spend time volunteering in the community for various animal rescues.

Bernarda has spent her entire life in Coos County.

She has worked more than 25 years in social services including a number of years working with community members with I/DD.  She joined Connections in 2021, where she found a rewarding career helping individuals achieve their goals and live their best lives.

Outside of work, Bernarda and Dennis enjoy spending time with each others adult children and growing number of many grandchildren.  She loves camping, gardening and spending as much time at the beach as possible.

After earning her BA in Spanish at Oregon State University, Casey began her career as a Kindergarten teacher in Corvallis. She returned to her hometown of Klamath Falls a few years later to take a position in Victim’s Advocacy at The Klamath County District Attorney’s Office. 

Now, Casey is excited to be serving her community as a PA with Connections. 

Outside of work, Casey loves painting, music, and all creative things! When she isn’t spending time with her family, friends, or cute little cat named Cat, you can catch her exploring the beautiful trails around the basin.  

Chelsea has lived in Coos County all her life.

She has worked with individuals with I/DD in a variety of different roles over the course of her career and is excited to step into this new role with Connections Case Mgmt. Chelsea loves helping others achieve their dreams.

When she’s not at work, you can find her with her family camping, on the lake, or riding in the dunes.

Shantell was born in Roseburg, but spent most of her childhood in Arizona while her father served in the Marine Corps.

In 2014 she graduated from Oregon State University with a Bachelors in Human Development and Family Sciences.  After graduating, she began working with the county’s mental health program before transitioning to ID/DD services in 2016.

Shantell lives in Canyonville with her husband, young daughter, and their fur babies.

In her spare time she enjoys crafting, reading horror books, spending time with her family, going to the movies, and attending concerts.

Justin was born and raised in Southern California and moved to Oregon in 2009. He instantly fell in love with Oregon and wouldn’t think about living anywhere else. He found his calling in the I/DD field in 2013 and now cannot imagine doing anything else. He started off as a part time overnight staff in a 24-hour residential group home and as of 2020 is now a Personal Agent with Connections Case Mgmt. He is excited to be in the PA role where he can assist people with getting the services they need/want. When Justin’s not working, he enjoys gardening and spending time with his family. Family is very important to him.

Tera has lived in Oregon most of her life, raised in Brookings and raising her own family in the Portland area.

Tera is a nerd at heart and loves to learn new things.

She enjoys outdoor activities such as gardening, hiking, and rafting.

Mendi was born and raised in Arizona and moved to Oregon in 1995. She has many years of experience in the I/DD field working  in local group homes as well as coaching bowling and managing medicals for Douglas County Special Olympics.  In July 2019, she began working at Connections as a PA.

Mendi has 4 grown sons and is proud to say that she is a grandma of 3 amazing grandkids. She has 2 cats and 1 dog. She loves all animals, big and small. Her favorite holiday is Christmas, where she goes a little crazy with decorating her home and office. In her off time, you can find her around her goldfish pond in her yard or up in the mountains mudding, hunting, fishing, hiking and camping.

Jamie has worked with persons with I/DD in a variety of programs, positions, and capacities throughout the span of 40 years.

She loves being a grandma to her vivacious granddaughter that continues to teach her life lessons.

Jamie is a homemaker at heart and loves to cook & bake in her spare time.

She resides in Roseburg with her husband of 42 years.

Family member and advocate for individuals with ID/DD.

Jessica has worked with individuals with ID/DD for years. She started out as a Direct Support Professional and moved up to a Program Coordinator for a residential home. She is now part of the Connections Case Mgmt team and enjoys having the opportunity of working with individuals and seeing them achieve their goals.

She was born in the Bay Area and moved to Klamath Falls when she was 14. She married her high school sweetheart and they have 4 children together.
